There There are Bojana Jankovic and Dana Olarescu
In late September 2009 Goldsmiths’ MA in Performance Making welcomed twenty international artists with different backgrounds from set design to theatre directing, performance and fine arts who worked together for a year in finding new vocabularies and creating original work. Eager to explore London’s performance scene, educational strategies and boundless theatrical resources two Eastern Europeans met while enrolling and started a conversation about Heiner Goebbles, Romeo Castellucci and the disdain in working with actors. A Romanian  and a Serb bonded over illegal travelling, countless visa queues and a concert they both had tickets for.  Their nearly  identical  background  (theatre directing)  and  socio-political interests, combined with the fact they also liked each other, created a spark; about a year and half later, they took the metaphorical plunge and thus There There was born.
Bojana and Dana think they have just enough artistic common-interests to get along creatively. More importantly they have an abundance of different obsessions and inclinations. They hope this means their work will be diverse, however there are some things they hope to always abide by:
Bojana and Dana think performance is not to be used as either therapy or a political pamphlet.  They do think however it’s very difficult (and tedious) to create around things that don’t concern you at all, and that it’s somewhat irresponsible not to be socially and politically aware. So - their pieces will undoubtedly be personal and political - but they will not use them to cleanse themselves in any way, shape or form, or sway your precious votes.
They believe the difference between theatre and performance is overstated and possibly not even that real. They combine both of their theatre and performance experience and knowledge - they also don’t particularly care what you choose to call it.
In the age of interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary projects, Bojana and Dana try very very carefully to explore all the options but not to behave like amateurs. This is why it is very unlikely you will ever find them painting, or editing a film - they know they don’t know how to do these things, and besides, they thrive on collaboration.

Bojana and Dana also have their own sites, where you can find out more about projects they did outside the company:
